Gail Colletta and Shana Rowan

Valerie Parkhurst July 21, 2013 at 07:08 am

The Very real aspect people should realize is the loudest mouths of the pro-offender abolish the Registry bunch, openly communicate on Facebook with each other "Knowing" their members are convicted sex offenders have Facebook pages. Take Gail Colletta out of Florida, and Shana Rowan out of Oneida New York, these broads protest daily for the rights of offenders yet freely banter back and forth with offenders signing in with a facebook page? They KNOW its restricted, do they care? No because offenders and the women who support them dont obey the rules if it isnt convienant, They "overlook" the simplest of restrictions for no other reason than they "dont give a damn". It is a very good indicator on how much they OVERLOOK an offenders crimes if it helps them reach an end goal. Thats why the public should never take these groups or these women seriously, they have no respect for laws or boundaries on even the most mundane levels. Facebook and other Media sites have left no doubt that convicted sex offenders are not allowed on their sites, Shana Rowan, Gail Colletta and a myriad of others go out of their way to let sex offenders violate the terms and conditions of any social media site that expressly forbids offenders participation. While they are garnering support from their "freaks" they are also allowing the perpetration of offenders trolling facebook for more devious intentions.. Gail Colletta and Shana Rowan are intent on "educating" the public about their poor poor sex offenders, what should happen is to prosecute both of them for being co-criminal conspiriters for helping offenders offend against more children.

I guess Rosa Parks should have stood since that was the rules and boundaries of the bussing system at the time.

I doubt Rosa Parks would be flattered by the comparison of her struggles of the day to sex offenders and their issues..

Your logic is backwards.

You're essentially saying that if a person sees someone litter and doesn't report it, then therefore, that person wouldn't turn in a murderer either.

I doubt you really believe that, so you may want to think before you type.

No thats not what I am saying and you should get some glasses when you read post. I am not "essentially" saying anything..I am coming right out and "stating" as a fact that if sex offenders and or their advocates cannot follow even the most basic rules of compliance, its indicative of them not following any other terms and conditions of their status either. Clear? Got that? want me to type slower? Only a freak or one who bangs one would compare sexual abuse to littering..numbnut..

You are speaking from total non experience. People should be punished for their crimes, but it should also depend on the severity of the crime, the past of the accused and where and how the arrest took place. I have read so many articles on these topics, I have heard so many stories and am living through it now. There are people who commit a sexual offense, which is usually some sort of immoral act, like speaking to an ADULT and having immoral conversations, teenagers having consensual sex, five year old children getting arrested for playing doctor, being drunk and peeing in public and then you have your sexual predators. People who seek out, stalk and rape children and or adults. Molesters, rapists and predators should NOT be in the same category as one who has committed a non violent and immoral act. People like this do not deserve the ridiculous life long sentences that they receive for these types of non violent crimes. I know that people do not understand this, and I do not expect you to either, but the fact of the matter is when your brother or uncle or cousin or boyfriend or husband has got caught up in a crime like this, you too will be fighting for fairness and justice. But until you walk in those shoes, I suppose you would not know any better.

Why do you presume to think I am not in partial agreement with you?

I guess I cannot assume what you think. Only you know what is in your mind. I just know, that I myself was guilty of pre-accusing and judging those who were arrested as sexual predators. It was not until this happened to someone close to me that I really starting studying the laws, reading the cases and hearing the stories of others. Many stories are very similar to my story and it is sad and unfair that basically people who are arrested for these crimes, not all, but some are punished forever. That is why there are so many fighting. It is crazy and mind blowing when you are faced with a situation like this. In my case the guy I speak of was in an adult based chat room speaking with an adult. Basically the conversations were switched by the undercover and turned into something that we should not speak about. Does he need help, ya maybe, his mind should have not gone to that immoral place. But he never intended to go onto an adult website and pick up a kid. Was he stupid, yes and he knows it, but to be punished for the rest of his life, to spend years in prison is just outrageous. He is not a risk to children, he had no child porn. It was just plain bad judgement and he does deserve a chance to have a family and a life.

Look you were honest in as much as you could be on a blog, but you leave out so much. Do not think I am totally unsympathetic to certain situations. But those are very narrow indeed after what I have witnessed. "Intentions and actions" are two different animals and your description from my experience minimizes drastically the true details of the court case I am sure. I have a saying that the term "bad judgement or mistake" is only an example of putting too much pepper in the soup and does not equate with committing a sex crime. In this day and age the publicity of knowing what will land a person on a registry for a sex crime is no secret and for women like yourself to be "dumbfounded" over his arrest and subsequent conviction is a little startling to me. You can envision my lack of empathy for the offender who actually engaged in this russian roulet online and then goes on to paint himself as "hoodwinked" and over prosecuted. Every registrant has family, friends and aquaintances that are shell shocked to find someone they know or love or is related too arrested for these crimes. The fact you are Close to this person doesnt negate his crime or minimize it . Sex offenders didnt just fall down from the sky and land on a registry. You state he is not a risk to children but something happened in that chatroom that deemed him a risk by those who have the ability to tear his world inside out. And I have to tell you the CP units do not willy-nilly bring a guy to prosecution without some pretty heinous evidence in their pockets. I know them and some are friends. They will be the first to tell you there isnt enough time, energy or manpower to prosecute 3/4 of all the CP traders/users in this country and they target the worst of the worst with the legal edge of a successful prosecution and or seems to pose a definite threat. I only know what I know and I am afraid my response wont give you much comfort, take with a grain of salt the "other stories" that you may hear, I am very familiar with those and havent found or heard of one yet that divulges the true circumstances of evidence used in these cases. They will lead you to false hope and the more you read the more your "situation" will appear a False reality even to yourself. I will offer you this. If you have an issue with the prosecutorial mandates of our justice system then focus your issue with legislators, not other offenders wives, mothers or girlfriends, they offer kinship with those in similar circumstances but in reality they only end up pissing off the public with their not so truthful tales of woe. And if you do end up on one of the Pro-sex offender sites as a member keep this in mind. Your communicating with anything with SO status, the worst of the worst and according to them? They all were over prosecuted and unfairly treated. They maynot be your most helpful advocates.. you by now realize how I feel about them..

Valigator, you said that you are "not "essentially" saying anything." I don't think you really meant that, or did you?
